Sophie serves as the manager of Inclusion, Diversity, and Belonging (IDB) for Europe at Oliver Wyman.

Her multicultural experience, gained from working in various European cities such as Berlin, Hamburg, London, Madrid, and Paris, has provided her with a deep understanding of the cultural nuances and differences within the European landscape. This extensive experience enables her to effectively translate global visions and strategies into local contexts, ensuring that inclusion and belonging are tailored and relevant to the unique needs of each market.

In her role, Sophie collaborates with different teams, colleagues, and leaders to implement practical and actionable steps to lead with inclusion, celebrate differences, and value what we have in common. She assists her colleagues on their journey towards inclusion, contributing to the development of the firm's inclusion capabilities and creating an inclusive workplace for all. Inclusive workplaces have inclusive leaders, and Sophie emphasizes the importance of focusing on actions that speak louder than words.

Her work encompasses a range of initiatives, from onboarding new employees to ensure they feel welcome and included to actively listening to employees' experiences and taking action to improve them. Sophie emphasizes the importance of building a strong network of individuals across all levels of the organization who drive inclusion forward at every moment and every decision that matters. She advocates for respectfully challenging the status quo to push the boundaries of what is possible through small or big steps, creative ways of overcoming obstacles, and every decision at the time.

One of the biggest opportunities that the inclusion learning journey offers is personal and professional growth, helping us to become better leaders, colleagues, friends, and family members

Sophie's advice for those entering the field of Diversity and Inclusion is to embrace a long-term perspective, recognizing that change unfolds gradually over time and by bringing people along the journey to create the change together. She highlights the importance of continuously unlearning, relearning, and remaining flexible and adaptable, even during periods of slow progress or unexpected challenges.

Outside of her professional life, Sophie is passionate about yoga, traveling, coffee and mate, and Vietnamese food. She is also an active member of the Women in the emerging tech community.
